Q: Do I need to be a member of the center in order to register for a trip?
      A: Yes, however guests may accompany a center member with the consent of center personnel.

Q: How old do I need to be to join the Mercy Center?
      A: Membership is open to men and women 60 years of age and older and to their spouses regardless of age.

Q: How much does it cost to join?
      A: There is a one-time application fee of $5 to defray the cost of orientation materials for the new member, plus a yearly membership fee:
Through Feb. 15th:
$10 single
$15 couple

After Feb. 15th:
$12 single
$20 couple

Q: Where is the Mercy Center located?
       A: The Mercy Center on Aging located at 444 East Grandview Boulevard, Erie, Pennsylvania in the west wing of the Sisters of Mercy Motherhouse.

Membership is open to men and women, 60 years of age and older and their spouses, regardless of age. These age guidelines are set forth by the Mercy Center's major funding source, Title III of the Older Americans Act.


Applicants must apply in person. There are manageable membership dues.

If joining:

* One time $5.00 registration fee

* Optional yearly dues are collected between Dec. 15 and Feb. 15 the cost is $12 per person and $20 per couple. Dues paying members are rewarded with certain discounts through the course of the year.

* After Feb. 15 the cost will increase slightly to $15 per person and $25 per couple for renewing members only.


The annual costs are to offset the cost of orientation materials for the new member. No person shall be subject to discrimination on the basis of color, national origin, race, religion, or sex.
